Luxury Dinner and Wine Tasting from Eradus Vineyard

This autumn, a little drop of purity from one of the most natural landscapes in the world, South Island, New Zealand, arrives in Grasmere, as wine maker Michiel Eradus joins us at Forest Side to delight us with a selection of his wines and share a little of his wine knowledge…

On Tuesday 17th October, up to eight guests will be able to join Michiel for what promises to be a convivial evening as he shares a little of his passion and wine knowledge during the evening…

Not only that Kevin Tickle, Forest Side’s Head Chef, will create a unique six course menu, which will be paired with wines specially selected from the Eradus cellar.

This multi award winning winery was established by Har and Sophie Eradus in 1982, after they emigrated from Holland to New Zealand and settled in the Marlborough wine region. In 2004 their son Michiel took hold of the reigns and the winery has gone from strength to strength.

As you will discover all grapes that make Eradus wines are grown in the Awatere Valley, a sub region of Marlborough with its own unique micro-climate. The Awatere Valley is windier, dryer, stonier, cooler and overall more extreme than Marlborough’s other regions. These conditions create wines with a distinct mineral backbone and crisp, clean acidity.

So why not join us for an evening of food and wine on 17th October… The evening will start at 7pm with a glass of fizz, giving guests the opportunity to mingle before sitting down with Michiel to enjoy a convivial and informative evening and of course a specially prepared menu created by Kevin Tickle with accompanying wines, coffee and petit fours.

This unique dinner with matched wines from Eradus is priced at just £119 per person and will be hosted in the Forest Side’s Private Dining Room.
