Experience New Year in the Lake District

Celebrate the start of 2025 in serious style at The Forest Side in Grasmere by joining us for our fantastic 3-night New Year Break 30th December 2024 to 02nd January 2025.

Check-in to the Forest Side from 3pm and on arrival adjourn to the lounge to enjoy a welcoming glass of local sparkling mead and a mince pie or two.
Later that evening join us for a glass of fizz prior to dinner, whilst the entertainment in the lounge before you adjourn to the restaurant to enjoy a 4 course tasting menu.

On New Year’s Eve morning join us for a hearty breakfast served at your leisure before perhaps enjoying one of the many walks from the doorstep.

In the evening join us for a glass of something fizzy and a selection of tasty snacks, whilst the jazz duo strike up, before you retire to the dining room to enjoy a specially prepared 8 course tasting menu by chef Paul Leonard.

After dinner enjoy a band, who will see us through to midnight, at the stroke of midnight enjoy a glass of fizz on the terrace as you watch a sparkling firework display in the grounds to see in 2025, before adjourning to the lounge to reminisce over 2024.

On New Year’s Day enjoy a lazy morning breakfast, perhaps explore one of the many local walks from our doorstep or enjoy a luxury wine tasting organised by our Head Sommelier, perfect for working up an appetite before you enjoy a light afternoon tea.

In the afternoon perhaps test your general knowledge and indulge in our quiz of the year, or you might even consider enjoying a game or two with your fellow guests from our selection of classics…

In the evening enjoy a wonderful Hog Roast buffet supper, with trimmings and sides, a selection of cheeses and a selection of cakes and pastries.

On the 2nd of January enjoy a hearty Cumbrian breakfast before departing later that morning.

All rates include dinner, overnight accommodation and breakfast for three nights, as well as the meals and drinks detailed above and are per room per break.
